    Entrepreneur Mr Pasquale Borrelli establishes a one-man waste removal service in Adelaide

    Wingfield transfer station opens

  • 1987

    Additional 25 acres of Wingfield land acquired

  • 1989

    Wingfield EPA landfill licence granted

  • 1991

    Dublin land acquired

  • 1998

    IWS Dublin EPA landfill licence granted – 7 year environmental impact statement process

  • 1999

    Construction of IWS Wingfield main transfer shed completed

  • 2002

    IWS Wingfield landfill reaches end-of-life and Dublin landfill commences operations

  • 2004

    Veolia acquires 50.01% share of IWS

  • 2010

    Construction of MWTF at IWS Dublin completed

  • 2012
    SRC JV established between IWS and SRWRA to construct and operate recycling facility
  • 2015

    Extractive mineral lease granted for Dublin site

  • 2019

    Wingfield Primary Plant upgrade commissioned

  • 2020

    Partnership with Red Centre Enterprises commences

  • 2021

    Completed development of the KESAB Education Centre

    Borrelli Family and Veolia completed 100% divestment of IWS to Igneo Infrastructure Partners

    Dublin Secondary Plant upgrade commissioned
